Going home & New Layout

I miss Cal. Going back for my workshop on Tuesday made me realize how much I love it there. I stood on the balcony of one of the halls and saw beauty right before my eyes. The sad part is that no matter what can happen in that city (mugging, homelessness, etc), I’ll still love it. There’s just something about that city. I know the reason I love it so much is not because I’m away from my parents; it’s because I love the anonymity, life, and beauty in it.

School begins on Monday. There’s some tension at home because my brother and I need rides to school, but it’s complicated because my parents need to go to work. I suggested to take the bus, but I’d have to wake up around 6, get on at 6:30, just to get there in time by 7:30. I dunno. Hopefully I’ll find someone to carpool with.

One of life’s greatest pleasures (stemming from the previous post) is just to have someone say something genuinely nice about you. Hearing that from your family or significant other doesn’t cut it; you know that they love and appreciate you anyway. But the best feeling is to hear it from someone you don’t expect. Thank you to Sien, Joshua, and Julie for making me feel just a bit more special this summer. (That’s not to neglect the rest of my loved ones; I already know you all love me! :tongue: )

So advice to my readers: if you really care for someone, just let him/her know. You never know when you can make someone’s day by expressing your feelings. Don’t expect anything in return, of course.

I think that’s a wonderful message to deliver. I try to hug all of my friends as much as possible and make sure they know how much they mean to me. Maybe I should tell everyone I love them more often. As if I already dont? Ha.

What a lovely message
I get the bus to school, nobody I know comes down my road, I used to carpool with my friend but she was always late, so we stopped. The buses come pretty regular so it’s ok.
