Hypocrisy is always fun

I’ll admit it, I’m a hypocrite a lot of the times. What I can’t stand, however, are those who are hypocrites not because they care about the other person, but because they care about themselves. I could tell you not to take that double shot of Bacardi 151 because I know you have a test tomorrow, then turn around and take one even though I have a test too. I refuse to tell you to scratch my back when I won’t scratch yours. That’s bullshit. Whatever. Just like the latest Grey’s Anatomy, you know who you can count on by the end of the day.
So, one more week of lectures, then that week of finals. Whee. I’m so looking forward to studying. Rawr. But the coming finals deliver a bittersweet feeling. One on hand, I know I have to do a lot of studying… on the other I know that I’ll finally get some time to do some leisure reading. My city library sells discarded/donated books for really cheap and I’ve been buying quite a few. The count is still less than ten, but I bet that before I head back to school, I’ll have about 20 books. Most of them are books I’ve never read, but they were placed on the classics cart, so hopefully they’ll live up to that.
Other than finals, I’ve nothing really to truly gripe about. People will be people and I will always hate them. Lol. (Note I said people and not person) Oh wait, I take that back. There is one more thing that I can complain about: the friggen cold weather! :grrr: :grrr: :grrr: I hate being cold.
It’s funny because one of my hostees would rather be cold than hot. She and I completely agree on the idea of our switching places since she’s in Australia and I in the U.S.
Recently a friend of mine criticized me and I haven’t figured out whether or not he was serious. He criticized something that I love to do and I can’t stop thinking about it, feeling a bit hurt as well. So my question is: What is something that you love to do, but can’t stand having someone tell you that you suck at it?

:sayrawr: I can’t stand such people either. Any types of hypocrites actually. I’m glad i have friends who don’t do such shit to me, I like studying for exams, it gives me such a sense of satisfaction being surrounded by books and revising like some maniac! :cute: I’m not making any sense, am I? Lol. I love the cold, kinda. But we only have one season in SG and that is summer. Summer all year long :saygrr: So I really wouldn’t mind winter.
Alright, take care, i gotta go now. Bye!

Hypocrites suck! Bleh. And so do finals. Good luck on them!!! Yay for good cheap books and getting some reading material during the break. It’s really sad when people criticize you on something you enjoy. I guess webdesigning is kinda like that. It’s our hobbies so if we get told we’re bat ad it, it does really feel sucky.

Good luck with your finals!! I hate them and yet it’s always so satisfying when they’re over. The cheap book section at your library sounds nice, the local library here has something similar, except they just throw all of the books together, so if you’re looking for a specific type of book, you’re just out of luck.
One thing that I hate being criticized about is bowling. I’ve been bowling since I was seven, so when people tell me I’m not very good at it, I tend to get offended, even if they are joking. Hopefully your friend was just kidding!

I think that everyone can be a little hypocritical from time to time… it sort of seems like one of those not-so-great sides to human nature, even when people don’t realize they’re doing it or don’t mean to be doing it, ya know? It really is a different thing all together when it’s someone doing it for their own gain. Ah I do hope you enjoy your books. It’s awesome when libraries sell books like that. Ebay can be a wonderful place to get them too, hehe. Good luck on your finals. Mm. I really don’t like anyone telling me I suck at anything haha I guess it would bother me most if it was directed toward my writing.

Good luck with your exams. I had my hardest one today and I think I did okay on it. I don’t feel I could have prepared anymore than I had so I guess that’s all I can ask for.
Yeah I don’t understand how someone would rather be cold than hot. With the hot you can normally find a way to cool down quickly like by going swimming or staying inside. With the cold, it’s a lot harder to change. I would much rather live somewhere warmer than Canada lol.

Good luck with your tests. I’ve got two finals due at the end of next week. I’m only half-way done with one - Haven’t even started the other. I’m glad I don’t have to take big tests for my college - I just have to write essays and such.
I would rather be cold than hot only because when you’re cold, you can always layer or cuddle up with someone. When it’s hot, you can only take so much off before it’s inappropriate [sp?] and you don’t want anyone to touch you.
To answer your question: One thing I love doing is web and graphic design. I play around with PSP and NotePad for days if you let me… I’ve never been told that I suck at it, but I get made fun of for it all the time because it makes me a geek. (which I don’t think is necessarily a bad thing…)

I would be pretty hurt if someone (a friend especially) told me I was absolute balls at graphic design or photography. I know I am not the best, but I don’t care. I do it for myself and that is all that really matters to me. Don’t let you’re so-called friend (if that is who criticized you) get you down.
ps; library discard/discount books are love. I should go pick some up today

If there is one thing I love love love doing is soccer but I hate it when my sister and her friend tell me I suck at it. It really stings.
I’m a hypocrite to but most of the time I don’t mean it. Which s dumb because if I just told someone about it shouldn’t I know better?

Personally I love the cold weather. I literally await wintertime so I can bask in all of the cold. *lol* It’s really odd too, because I was born in southern California where it’s never cold. FUNKY.
UGH - hypocrites. Unfortunately hypocrites are everywhere, and that’s because each one of us has done something hypocritical at one time or another. It’s just human nature I suppose. :blank:

YAY! You talked about me in your blog, I love the cold weather you can drink hot chocolate and huddle up in your blankets but in summer its hot and sticky and public transport isn’t very nice! SWAP PLEASE MARIA!
