So I was reading a friend’s blog and she was tagged to write down 10 of life’s simplest pleasures. I think I’m just going to list mine as they pop into my head. As for tagging, I tag whoever reads this post. Try to keep yours different from mine or anyone else’s that you read.

Life’s Simplest Pleasures
1. Eating just the marshmallows in the Lucky Charms cereal
2. Drinking a cup of hot chocolate & cinnamon
3. Waking up in the morning & know you’re not late for something
4. Walking into a hot shower
5. To help someone and have them thank you, even if you didn’t do much
6. Listening to a good song & singing it at the top of your lungs
7. Watching your favorite TV show from the beginning
8. Eating a good bowl of pho
9. Swimming laps & thinking of nothing else but swimming
10. Turning on the TV to find your favorite movie’s on.
11. Waking up with the sun shining through your window
12. Falling asleep with your significant other

So I head up to Cal on Tuesday to take a workshop. I’m anxious to go because I haven’t seen my friends in so long. I got the name of the donut shop wrong and told my friend, “See? This is what happens when I’m away for too long.” :sayblah:

I’ve been listening to my sister’s old MP3s and I love it. It takes me back to the old days like All-4-One, Mariah’s earlier albums, Babyface, NSync, and the list goes on. I missed these songs and it’s been a good trip down memory lane. If you could pick one artist, or one song, which would be your favorite song from the earlier years?

A lot’s been happening lately. Not to me, of course, but I’ve just been listening (or trying to) to my friends’ ordeal. I feel as if everything in a sense is belitted because there are much bigger problems. A friend could be getting married, he’s yet to clear that up for me; another is trying to deal with the engagement; one could be getting married but that’s through the grapevine; one’s feeling completely lonely; one’s dealing with his love and her unforgiving & angry friends; one’s giving up on his love and the list goes on.

The best advice I can offer is that life is always going to screw up “the plan” somehow and we just need to learn to deal with that. The best thing to do is to find the support of your loved ones because they care about you, no matter how absurd or ridiculous you think your situation is. Even if you don’t know how to fix it, just talk. One, it strengthens your relationship with your listening friend and two, it helps you get your troubles off your chest, even just for a bit.

A good friend of mine once said, “You never know who’s going to be your friend. You just gotta have faith in them to be there for you.” Or something along those lines.

That’s a great list. There really are some sweet things that life offers. Oh man that little quoite your friend said is soo great. It’s true though, sometimes talking to people really does help. Except when you feel like you can’t trust no one. Or are so uncomfortable with your problems that you can’t open up about them. That makes things suck.

Too lazy to think of ten things, but here’s one: finally being able to pee after holding it in for so long
Artist: Boyz II Men. No one could fade them!! Hehe. Song? I really dont know. I like a lot
I know you’re there for me and what not.. I just… I don’t think I can open up to anyone like I used to. Rawr. Eventually I’ll be confortable enough to talk about my problems… once I find out what it is.

Ahh, what a nice idea for a meme. I’ll post that up at my blog when I next update, which should be tonight :cute:

My favourite song from earlier years? Hmm… probably Deception, by The Cruxshadows. It’s quite old now, but I love it. It’s even better live too, hehe.

That little quote from your friend is lovely… I like to think I have some faith in those around me, no matter how hard it gets sometimes. Communication is a huge part in all relationships, I think I’d go as far as saying it’s the most important part (in my experience anyway) - we just can’t function without it.
