It’s been a movie-filled couple of weeks. Most of which I watched are good, so at least I had a fun time.

Note: All are available on DVD

  1. Find Me Guilty** - starring Vin Diesel (with hair!). It was an interesting movie. It definitely brought out a different side of Diesel & I found the movie quite amusing. It’s about a trial in New Jersey. The defendants (all 20 of them) are being tried for numerous charges because they’re a mob family. Vin Diesel’s character is a bit complicated, but he definitely takes the cake from the mob boss.
  2. Harold & Kumar go to White Castle - starring John Cho & Kal Penn. A lot of suspended disbelief in this movie. It was funny at parts, but also ridiculous. Then again, the “super cool” factor never hit because the movie was so hyped up by the time I watched it. The movie stars two men who set on a trip to eat at a burger joint, White Castle. Along the way, various things happen that help them mature by morning.
  3. The Weather Man - starring Nicolas Cage. It’s about a weatherman who’s trying to get the position at “Hello, America,” a national morning talk show. He’s divorced and his father doesn’t think too much of him. It’s not a comedy or action movie, but not too much drama either. It’s definitely a good watch though.
  4. Hoodwinked** - starring… a bunch of people. This is definitely a hilarious movie. It’s a twist on the children’s story Little Red Riding Hood but it’s a good twist. There’s a bunch of allusions in the story, some of which I didn’t get, so that makes it a little more fun. My favorite character is the squirrel.
  5. When Harry Met Sally** - starring Meg Ryan & Billy Crystal. It’s a classic, but I hadn’t seen it until just recently. I found it a cute movie, very romantic. Meg Ryan was pretty hot back in the day. As for Billy Crystal… well, you gotta admit he looked good too. It’s a nice chick flick to watch & I’m sure there are men who enjoy it too.
  6. Walk the Line - starring Joaquin Phoenix & Reese Witherspoon. I’m not quite a fan of Johnny Cash’s music, but I must say that I enjoyed listening to his music. This movie was definitely a good movie. Plus, I love Reese.
  7. Match Point** - starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Scarlett Johansson, & some others. I must admit, this is definitely a different kind of movie than what I’m used to seeing. To quickly put the movie in few words, it’s a love affair between a married man & a struggling American actress.

** A must see!

I’ve watched almost of them, except Match Point and Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, probably because it’s not allowed here for those under 16/18 *sighs* No one’s going to buy it for me, either! I really like Hoodwinked really much!

I haven’t seen the ones you listed, but I definitely want to watch ‘The Weather Man’, ‘When Harry Met Sally’ (I’m a big fan of Meg), ‘Walk the Line’ and ‘Match Point’ *sigh* Thanks for writing about those movies even the ones I never heard of, maybe I should give those titles a try too

I can’t imagine Vin Diesel with hair. Seriously, I’m trying. Those movies all sound really good though! I might have to rent some.

I’ve been wanted to see The Weather Man for quite sometime now. I loved Hoodwinked. At first I wasn’t impressed ith the animation, but the story line was great. Too bad not many people have hear of it. Definately better than some other animated movies that they have recently put out.
