I can’t believe how fast the week has gone… kinda. I have to admit that for the past couple of weeks I’ve been feeling a mix of emotions, but who doesn’t? The best one that I’ve gone through is happiness. SB and I are finally going to meet and I’m ecstatic! :cute: :cute: Haven’t figured out what we’ll do when he comes, but we’ll see.
Speaking of boys, a friend introduced me to a rather annoying one. He keeps talking about things with which I’m uncomfortable, so the next time we talk, I’m going to flat-out tell him that if he ever speaks about that shit again, we’re not talking. 
I’ve had little sleep during the week and for the first time, I finally noticed the bags 
Pooooo. But I got a good chunk of sleep last night since I was able to sleep in before heading into work today.
I really do love my job. It’s “easy” work, but I love it so much. I work in the children’s area of the library and I’m always willing to help as much as I can. I love seeing the books I enjoyed as a child; they always make me feel so nostalgic. Once in a while, I’ll get the opportunity to something else besides sort/shelve books. Tonight, for example, I helped out with a holiday party for an adult literacy program. It’s completely free and what it does is help adults who have a low reading and writing level. Tutors volunteer to help out these adults with their struggles and it’s just so inspiring to see all of happen.
And that’s when it really hit me hard: I want to be in a career where I get to truly help people. I want to do social work. I might get my Ph.D. in Psychology and whatnot, but in the end, I want to be able to help those that truly need it. And if not, then I want to spend as much of my time volunteering for something that makes a difference. I want to give back as much as I can in return for my life and all of my wonderful blessings. It truly warms the heart. 
That is my passion. What’s yours?

I wish I had a self-less passion. Lol. My passion is art – drawing and the like. I might not be good at it, but it just clears my mind and makes everything seem so right.

Oh, Maria, you really are a giving person. From web to real life you’re always there for people. I’m not sure that I have a passion, or if I do I am unaware of it at the moment. It must be nice to know you have something that truly makes you happy and that you truly love to do.

I’m not sure what my passion(s) will end up being. Right now, just being a parent is something I look forward to and really want to do. If that makes any sense.
Yours is great though. It’s nice to hear about people who just want to help other people

same passion here. im actually taking up psychology and im in my 4th yr.. i might get a Ph. D in child psychology or mybe be CSI-like and take forensics instead. take care!
