Tired & Anxious

I want a new layout! But until I get my laptop & settings back to normal, I can’t make anything yet. :saygrr: Also, validating XHTML isn’t too bad. I guess once you figure out how to do it & worth with it, it’s pretty simple. It’s supposedly going to make everything look the same (or at least very similar) on all browsers, which is great for webdesigners.

My summer… well, part of it, ends soon. I’m heading back to summer school starting Monday, for six weeks. The thing that bugs me is that I have no idea how the class is going to be. The professor isn’t listed on RateMyProfessor.com so I don’t know what s/he is like. I’ve got a copy of the syllabus, and it looks a bit intimidating now, but hopefully, all will go well.

Poll: My long hair is naturally black. At the end of March, I dyed it brown. Now my roots are showing. Should I A. re-dye all of my hair B. dye just my roots or C. dye it all back to black so I don’t have to worry about anything again. *Note: In order to dye my hair, it requires two boxes of hair dye.

    Hey

I think it depends on whether you prefer it brown or black. Personally I’d just dye my roots again. Or if you want to back black but without having to redye all your hair you could buy a dye that is inbetween your natural hair colour and the colour it is now, dye your roots that colour then when your roots come through again it won’t look so bad because they will sort of naturally fade into the colour you dyed your roots which will fade into the brown, if you get what I mean. It will obviously look darker at the top but it looks more of a gradual change and people who only know you having brown might not figure out it was dyed

Anyway, awesome site, I’d look around more but I’m in school at the moment so I’ll do that when I get back home =] The only way I’m managing to write this is that it looks like I’m doing my work as I’m typing it in Microsoft word and am then going to paste it into your comment box =]

Yup, valod XHTML is actually pretty simple  A lot of people are afraid of it for nothing :/ Anyway, good luck with validating

I usually just dye my whole hair but I only need one box, so I\’d suggested just dyeing the roots…

Validating XHTML sounds pretty nice. Haha I didn’t know there was a site like that for reviewing professors! Good luck with summer school. And for the poll, I vote C. Naturally black hair is AWESOME. I wish I had it.

It’s too bad about your summer ending. I wish mine would, but it only just started. :dead: If you like your hair brown, you should just dye the roots, but if you dont want to mess with it, you should dye it back to black.

XML is really easy if you think about it, just a litle more strict. The only problem was when I tried to validate one of my sites in XML, i kinda forgot the alt tags on most of the images, so it didn’t validate. lolz

Validating can be a feat, but it is so worth it. Since I’ve cleaned up my coding making changes is so much easier. All I really have to do to change my layout is edit a stylesheet and make a few minor changes to other theme files. It helps greatly if you take advantage of WordPress’ page support. My website is run entirely with WordPress. You may want to consider converting your pages. Also, if you’re worried about browser compatitiblity I would recommend coding in the most standards-compliant browser possible and then hack for IE. You can’t always check in every browser but if you code in Firefox and validate your coding you probably won’t have a huge problem.

Whats a gravatar? lol, just thought i\’d throw that out. It really sucks when your computer goes down. i was without a compuer for almost a year and it really REALLY bugged me because i felt trapped. lol, anyway, you have a GREAT site here. I really like the layout. Its very fresh and calming. As far as the new professor.. good luck! Its always rought when you cant find your teacher on there. lol, I know when i first started in college last year i went and looked up all of my teachers. The ratings were pretty accurate. Which reminds me… i need to go back and re-rate all my teachers. hahah, i never went back and did that. And, I say just re-dye the roots. Haha, i\’m a lazy person and if i had long hair. Thats definatly would I would do. Anyway.. great site.. hope to hear from you

I say B. Why dye all when you only have that area to worry about.

I’m sure you’ll do fine. So don’t worry about your classes.

Well I just dyed my hair back to my natural hair color cause I got tired of roots. But I’ve been dying for a while now. If you only did it once, you’re probably not tired of it yet. Thing is, if you only fix up your roots, it won’t necesarily end up being the same fresh pretty color all over, since the rest has faded and all, so you gotta do it all over if you’re gonna redye.
