Nature Walk

A while ago, I took a walk through a nearby canyon/park during a storm and I enjoyed it so much. Since I live near The Bay, you can pretty much the Golden Gate Bridge if you’re high enough. Well, I was high enough, but due to the storm and low clouds, this was my view:

It was pretty awesome to see the entire side just blanketed. I didn’t walk too far up the hill since it was muddy and I had already ruined my boots by then. That and I was hungry. I was able to see a few really good things.
This is a hole at the base of tree. It was wet on the ground inside the hole, but still, it was a pretty cool thing to look at. I wonder how many people have either made out or had sex in that hole.

Next is an image of a tree whose bark was stripping. It looked so odd to me because I didn’t know that trees could shed! Well, I did due to my few weeks in a biology class, but I didn’t know that it was this noticeable!

Lastly, this is a view that I saw as I was standing on a small clearing. It made me feel like I wasn’t in the city anymore or anywhere near it. I actually wanted to go on that side, but I didn’t know how to safely get over there. Maybe in a next trip perhaps?

I really love being in nature. I really want to make another trip there or something just as awesome.

Those are great pictures hon. Isn’t it great that if you walk just a bit away from the city you can still find some great nature? I love that. I like your little comment about the hole in the tree. Yea I bet on dry days people do in there to do the nasty.

Julie,
Yeah, I noticed people had gone in it because there were carvings and whatnot around it.
That’s what I love about Berkeley; just a few miles east, there is a gorgeous strip of hill and it’s amazing. I just ended up driving all around it yesterday at night, so that was a beautiful view too.
