Site Redesign Coming Soon?

Okay, I don’t know for sure yet, but lately, I’ve been wanting to make a new layout. Yes, I love the picture on this one, but… sometimes you just need a revamp, you know? I know that I still want to keep the same colors of red and black, but other than that, I’m not sure yet. I might still keep a three column style, but have the posts on one side and the two columns on the other. I know that for the last few layouts there have been photographers, but maybe I won’t have them this time. Maybe I’ll just have a series of pictures that I will choose.

I honestly don’t know yet; all I know is that I want a new look and definitely something that will load faster than this huge picture. I know that it takes a while for some people and especially those with a slower connection. As beautiful as the picture is, it’s not an efficient way to create a design.

Anyway, I can’t start on anything yet since I have so many other things to do and those things are way more important than my website.

Hi Maria,

A theme change may be good for you blog. Currently, with your color schemes, it’s a little difficult to read. The red blended so much with the side navs, they’re almost unreadable.

You can always incorporate the picture in some other ways. Wordpress themes are very flexible.

Yeah, I’m not too fancy with red texts on a black background

There are lots of other nice themes out there that you can use for your blog, and then you can change some colors to red if you like

I do like the two colors, so I’m sure they’ll be in the next design… whenever I find the time for it.

I don’t mind the criticism at all as long as it’s constructive. I will keep the red colors in mind for my next layout. It’s too late to do anything else to this one.

Michael Aulia,

I know that there are nice themes out there, but I think that I’m too proud to use pre-mades, even if I do tweak it to my own doing. I feel much better and much more proud knowing that I created and coded a theme myself.

It’s okay, I’ll try to figure out another scheme for the next one that won’t hurt your eyes too much.

I like the color scheme and layout, but I feel it is a bit skinny, maybe a new layout can widen the blog up a wee bit?

The next layout will be much wider. I couldn’t do too much more with this one since I believe this is the biggest I could go without having this image take over the whole fold.
