There are so many different things out there now about the web. I remember when I first started with web designing. I have to admit that I was a pretty bad designer. On the list of what not to do as a designer, I did them all. In my defense, I was young when I started and I never really had a good role model or example to look up to. I did everything that was wrong: marquees, flashing font, obnoxious backgrounds, alternating CAPS; it was bad.

Luckily, throughout the years, I learned. With every new project, every new design, I learned something new. It usually wasn’t a lot since when I started, I stayed within the same pattern. When I first decided to get my own web hosting, I began to learn a lot more about designing than before. I picked up on proper syntax and coding and finally got around to validating my web pages. I actually paid attention to cross-browser compatibility issues and stayed within the same colors when designing.

It’s been a long journey for me and I know that there’s a lot more for me to learn.
