I’ve gained weight. I can hear my relatives already. “M, you look big… again.” “M, how have you been? Do you exercise a lot?” I should probably go on a diet pill if I weren’t 1) so broke and 2) so scared of the side effects. I’m trying to get my ass to the gym, but it’s tough. It might get easier next week when I have to start going to school, but we’ll see how that goes.

I’ve known a person who’s had to go through drug rehab and it definitely wasn’t easy. There was a phone call I had with him and I could swear that I heard him snorting while talking to me. If I didn’t hear it, then he definitely told me what he was doing. I felt so uncomfortable and I thought that he would have gotten better, that he would have changed, but he didn’t. As a UC Berkeley student, I know that there are so many resources out there to find the best program and the best care that you need.

I was watching that movie earlier and I realized that I don’t really have a best friend who can do all of that with me. Well, that’s not entirely true, but someone who I live near, someone I’ve grown up with, etc. I saw the scene with the baby shower and it looked so mean! I never want my baby shower to look like that and be ruined by two squabbling people. I want a lovely shower in good company.

My sister once lived in L.A. Well, she lived close to it; probably in a very nearby city. The rent was high, but seeing how high the rent prices are now in Berkeley, I think it wasn’t that bad of a deal. I wonder if she used moving companies Los Angeles when she moved out of that area and back up to the Bay Area. It’s funny how she started up in the Bay, college in the East, moved down to L.A., back to the Bay, and now down in San Diego. So much traveling!

I wish I could travel more, but I’ve neither the time nor money to do so. I’d want to live in all the hotels, like The Embassy, Hilton, Carleton-Ritz, and Westgate. I’d want to go (back) to Vegas, Florida, New York, Hawaii and many other places. I’d really love to take a vacation one day, perhaps one day soon I’ll be able to take said vacation, but I can’t see it in the near future.
